History

Our school, established in 1932. Earlier known as Morton Institution, founded by Sri ‘M’ alias Shri Mahendra Nath Gupta, disciple of Shri  Ramkrishna Paramhansadeb, in 1890.He used  to teach English, Economics, History and etc. He was a Scholar.Swami Yogadananda was the disciple of Shri ‘M’,  Shri Keshub Ch. Sen, Girish Ghosh and other disciples of Shri Ramkrishna Paramhansadeb came here in this school when Shri 'M' was writing the famous book 'Shri Ramkrishna Kathamrita' in the 3rd floor room. It was known from the authentic sources that Shri 'M' was mentally disturbedby his familymen while living in his own house. So, he came the premises 50 Amherst Street for some peace. Here he founded Morton Institution which is now known as Hindu Academy Primary.
