Metropolitan Institution Bowbazar Branch is a govt. Sponsored secondary school for boys.

 Pandit Ishwarchandra Vidyasagar founded this institution on 1884, and Swami Vivekananda honoured the chair of headmaster for sometime during its initiation. Our Century old three storied school building covers 2000 Square meter area near Moulali crossing of Central Kolkata. Now a days student strength is more or less 200. Apart from furnished classrooms , We provide our students a big library, multigym, water purifier and cooler machine for drinking water and ramp for physically Challenged students. We cook and serve hot and fresh mid day meal to our beloved students everyday. Here students get a joyful learning environment where students and teachers relation is very healthy. Students perform different social and cultural activities with the help of teachers throughout the year.
