History

Topsia Primary School was established in 1971, as one of the oldest Primary school at Topsia. The school was founded  by Ratan Kumar Sengupta, Naresh Kumar Singh and Rajendra Prasad Thakur. They took a succesive efforts to expand education among the socially underprivileged students of this locality. After 12 years in 1983 it was recognized by West Bengal Government. It is co-educational Primary School (bengali medium) functioning under West Bengal Board of Primary Education. Students get admission absolutely free of cost and are provided with nutritional meals, uniform, shoes, education and emotional and mental support. Now the school building gas give pucca room and six separate toilet for girls and boys, and one library room. The school aims to impart education to the child learner in a way that leads to their alround development so that the grow up to become a responsible citizen of our country.
