Looking back at the history of the school, one finds the enthusiasm and the zeal of the earlier visionaries who were keen to establish an Urdu medium school for spreading education among the Urdu speaking sections of the population. The founders of the school had undoubtedly worked hard to motivate the people who responded to their call.
The school had not been what it is today. Naturally it had seen many ups and downs during the last eight decades. But its goal was to stand up to all upheavals and provide education which even now remains uppermost in the minds of all who is connected to this school.
The first Headmaster to undertake the huge task of handling the affairs of the school in its initial stage was Mr. Syed Zahiruddin Haider Bilgrami, a once Deputy Majistrate who wanted to serve the school and build up an environment of education and discipline. Later on the legacy followed and the school gradually saw many academicians coming together and paving the way for the development of the school from primary to higher secondary levels.
The school now boasts to have thousands of doctors, engineers, teachers and public servants as ex-students.
