History

Modern School, situated at 17B, Manoranjan Roy Choudhury Road, Kolkata - 700017, in central kolkata was established by Late Manoranjan Roy Choudhury on 1st August, 1930. Initially it was set up at Beniapukur with a humble start but later due to the increasing number of students, the school was shifted to its present address. The school has many rank holding students like Samir Chandra Saha ( First in the School Final Examination, 1963), Achintya Kumar Mukherjee (Third in the School Final Examination, 1963), Subroto Bhattacharjee(First in the School Final Examination, 1966) to name a few.
