History

Inspired by the principle of "Tamso Maa Jyotirgmay",our school Adarsh Hindi Girls High School is a state government administered hindi medium school which is currently situated in South Kolkata(Calcutta). It is one of the most renowned and reputed schools of the South Kolkata area.

The school was established in the year 1940. At that time the school was situated in Poddopukur and later on it shifted to the current location of 4,Rammoy Road Kolkata 700025 in the year 1948.

This school was initially recognized by the University of Calcutta. Later on the school received recognition by the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education in the year 1960. Further in the year 1980 the school became government aided and then in the year 2006 it was officially recognized by the West Bengal Council of Higher Education.

This school flourishes its glory by offering the education to the girls, specifically to the South Kolkata girls.
