History

Adarsh Vidya Bhawan is one of the oldest and renowned institutes of Kolkata it was established in 1961 by Mr Bheem Narayan Sharma .He was a prominent educationist who felt the need of education among the poor and meritorious students of Kolkata .Some other educationists like Mr AKTiwari ,Mr Ak Mahato, Mr RD Tiwari also helped  him in this purpose. The school is affiliated to West Bengal Board of Secondary Education .The government granted aid to the school in 1972. Mr Bheem Narayan Sharma served as the secretary of the school and his brother Mr SN Sharma served as the headmaster they contributed much for the development of the school.
