HISTORY OF SCHOOL
Lajpat Balika Vidyalaya, an educational institute was founded on 23rd November 1939 by the great freedom fighter Veer Damodar Savarkar. It was inaugurated on 29th December 1952 by the First President of free India, Dr. Rajendra Prasad and was named after the great Indian revolutionary leader Punjab Keshri, Lala Lajpat Rai. The school started as Co-educational institute in March 1953, but later it set up a seperate section for girls and got recognition as High School on 1st April 1959. Its aim is to provide education to all irrespective of Caste, creed and religion alongwith moral values as well. On 1st April 1969, the school was registered under Grant-in-Aid section and got recognition as Govt.Aided school. Later, with the utmost efforts of our seniors, the school started the H.S. section registered under W.B.C.H.S.E. and at present it has obtained Govt. Sponsorship and is providing education to girls from class V to XII. Lajpat has crafted many Shining Jewels and will always serve generations after generations as future builder with better qualities.
