History

In 1935, a number of educational enthusiasts came together to found in a small building in south Kolkata the realisation of their dreams, a school that embodied their ideals of education. As the school gradually moved to a larger building on Southern Avenue, their dreams gradually achieved fruition. Kalidhan Institution, named in the remembrance of Kalidhan Ganguly, an illustrious student whose promising life was cut short in youth, went from success to success.

Under the tutelage of its legendary headmaster, Satyapariya Roy, Kalidhan Institution witnessed its glorious rise as one of the premiere schools not only of Kolkata, but of West Bengal as a whole.
