History

History:

     Late Sachindranath Chattopadhyay a renowned social activist and businessman, founded this Girls’ School in memory of her deceased mother Binodini Devi, in 1938. Land and building was also dedicated by him. Recognition was given by Calcutta University, in pre-independence era. Secondary school was established. With the successful journey, in 1950 Primary Section opened. Primary Section was separated with the recognition of primary school Education Deppartment.NCC started from 1962.Old Higher Secondary ran from 1962. 10+2 recognition was received from 1976 with Science, Arts and Commerce Stream. Vocational Course also started from 2006 under WB State Council of Vocational Education and Training. Quality, Cooked MDM started in our own kitchen from 2011. School was converted to Govt. Sponsored School from Govt. Aided School in 2013. In 2017 Binodini Girls’ High School and Binodini Primary School unified to Integrated Govt. Sponsored School (PP to XII) under one UDISE Code 19170109522. Consistence bulk good result (100% pass in MP and HS) in Academic and in aesthetic periphery is our identity. Our aim is to foster better relations with the community, developing the sense of all-round awareness amongst our students.
