History

Netajinagar Vidyamandir, situated at 170/436, N. S. C. BOSE ROAD, KOLKATA - 700 092, was founded on 2nd January in the year of 1951.

The uniqueness of the foundation of this organization lies in the fact that a long cherished indomitable struggle against all odds for the right 

to have access to education in the absence of any school in the vicinity was earnestly felt by the then refugees coming from erstwhile

East Bengal (now in BANGLADESH ) after the partition of Bengal in 1947, culminated in the establishment of this school, So, the drawn of 2nd January, 1951 witnessed the glorious overnight emergence of the school consisting of a few classrooms in the land that was vacant only a day before.

Thus the school was established to cater education for the children of the newly formed locality. The boys' school teachers from grade 5 to grade 12

under the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education and the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education for the secondary and higher secondary school examinations respectively. The building and the campus is spacious and it has a very good infrastructure.
