History

The school was set up on 3rd January,1963 by some local education enthusiasts who felt the need for women education. In those days, the school started functioning with a semi pucca building and a handful of teachers. The upper primary classes came into being in 1967. By 1971, the school had opened the secondary section and the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education granted affiliation to  the school. The school has come a long way since then. Now the school has pucca buildings and adequate facilities. The school celebrated its golden jubilee in 2013 with various programmes.The school has now come up with a residential unit and has seen 100 percent pass out of Madhyamik students for the last several years.
