Vivekananda Vidyapith is one of the oldest schools of Santoshpur area. The inhabitants of Rashmoni Bagan, Santoshpur felt the necessity of an educational institute in their locality and founded the school in 1950. Educated persons of the locality taught here without taking any remuneration. The school is registered as Govt. sponsored free primary school on 01.09.1951. Many renowned personalities were the student of this school. Mr. Pranab Bardhan, gold medalist in 18th Asian Games Contract Bridge Competition also (studied in our school) spent his childhood days in our school.
