History

As a fledgling nation witnessed her “tryst with destiny”,waves of uprooted people came and settled in and around Kolkata.These settlements, filled with people from the then East Pakistan generated the necessity for new schools.And with active patronization of Sri Sachindra Nath Chattapadhya,Sahapur Harendranath Vidyapith was founded in 1949 and soon became a renowned  institution.Initially it was affiliated under C.U. Later in came under W.B.B.S.E and W.B.C.H.S.E.Sahapur Harendranath Vidyapith can justifiably be proud of its alumni and heritage.
