History

 * Haji Ratan Multipurpose High school (H.S.) is a minority based school. It is situated at most backward area of Metiaburz.The students are mostly from down trodden families.They are almost first generation learners.For a better future of the local boys and girls the land of the school was donated by then Samaj Kalyan Samity.Later the new set up school was established.

* Haji Ratan Multipurpose High school established on 2001 as a junior high school with only 3 teachers. It is a co-education School.

* In the year 2005 the school upgraded to High School with co-education.

*The School finally upgraded to Higher Secondary school with Arts Stream in 2010-2011 academic session.It is also ia a co-educational. 

* The first TIC of the school was Sri Anup Kumar Ojha.(May2001-June 2005)

*The second TIC of the school was Sri Tanmoy kumar Ghosh (July 2005 - October 2008)

* The first Headmistress of the school is Smt. Ruma Das Gupta Ghosh (November 2008-Present).
