History

Bartala Madhyamik Vidyalaya is enlightenment to the Bengali tailor community. From its inception this institution is catering to the needs of this underprivileged locality. The founder members of this institution namely Akhtar Hossain, Golam Rasul Mondal, Md Taher Molla, Sk Md Amin are in the abode of God. Not only education this institution also imparts the essence of nature and promotes green which is a symbol of life. The institution itself is a feast for the eyes amidst the concrete jungle.

Bartala Madhyamik Vidyalaya was founded in 1976 and gradually started providing education to students of classes V – VIII. The institution received recognition from the state government in 1985. The batches of students who passed out of this institution from its inception have now become well established and pillars of this locality. With the gradual spread of education and success in the academic field this institution received recognition for classes IX & X under auspices of WBBSE. The excellent results of Madhyamik Examination paved the way for the recognition of classes XI & XII under the auspices of WBCHSE.

Today this institution doesnot have to look back anymore due to an overflow of students. There are a lot of avenues to be traversed to fulfil the aspirations of this institution. Bartala Moslem Library, which is an icon for spreading education in this minority dominated locality, has left its reflection and reverberation in form of Bartala Madhyamik Vidyalaya (HS) today.
