History

Multi Peary Sreemanta Insitution (H.S.) located at Multi, P.O. – Multi under the police station of Magrahat is one of the oldest and reputed schools in south 24 parganas. It is a co-educational Govt. sponsored school recognized by W.B.B.S.E. & W.B.C.H.S.E. The school was established in the year 1932 when India was under British rule on a vast stretch of land liberally donated by the Dutta and the Das families and named after Late Peary Charan Dutta and Late Sreemanta Das. The school is situated by the road side in close vicinity to nature with a large grassy playing field in the front, two paved ponds in two sides, a flower garden along the inside boundary wall and innumerable, tall fruit-bearing trees providing with an ambience of pristine glory that is conducive to the holistic development of child. A beautiful white marble bust of the Ex head Master, Late Sasanka Sekhar  Manna, who has occupied a special niche of reverence in the heart of the locals by his immense contribution and sacrifice, is respectfully placed in the school premises.

            The school carries a proud privilege of producing a galaxy of students who adorned many responsible positions of our state, country and abroad by their talents.  Every year students come out with flying colours in board and council exam. Many students  are also established by studying in vocational stream of the school, a wing duly approved by W.B.S.C.T.V.E.
