History

The establishment of this school emerged in mid 1900. The area was a remote backward SC/ST one before the time of independence. The thoughts of enlightenment were developing among some local educative, open minded and refined people. They realised the need of spreading education among the uneducated and poor peasantry. One of them Sri Gavinda Prasad Sardar, deeply inspired by the thought, donated a land in memoriam of his father Sri Nabin Chandra Sardar, for the establishment of a school. Some other local illuminated persons like Sri Panchanan Manna, a local Primary Teacher also took active moves for the establishment of the same.

The school established on 01.01.1946, and received 1st affiliation on 01.01.1948 upto class VI and then 2nd affiliation upto class VIII on 01.01.1957. In 01.01.1966 the school was recognised as a Secondary Institution. In the session of 2013-2014 Higher Secondary section started.
