Batanagar Girls High school was recognized  as DA Getting School by West Bengal Board of Secondary Education wef  01/01/1956.

The school had upgraded to Higher Secondary School wef 1977.

The school was converted to Non Govt Aided School wef 01/04/2010.

The school was converted  Govt Sponsored School wef 24/12/2014
