                                                                                THE LADDER OF CIVILIZATION

1935 was a critical year in the history of Bhanderberia. Standing on a volcano plagued by the inhuman tyranny and subjugation of the British Rule , the immortal educationist, Late Shri Debendranath Mondal established Bhanderberia Debendra High School on 7th January,1935, a tool to build the student society and the nation.

                                                                                       LOCATION

The school is situated in a tranquil and rural environment of nature. NH41 is 300meters away and it is to the west of the school. 4km to the east, there are East Midnapore District Town, District Tamluk Hospital, and District Court.

                                                                          SCHOOL ON THE WAY TO PROGRESS

The first Headmaster of this Institution Late Shri Rangalal Adhikari in collaboration with notable social worker of the locality  Late Shri Lalit Mohan Pahari, Late Shri Gokul Chandra  Jana injected  a life to this institution with only seven students at the very beginning.

The inquisitive life of the time proves  in various cases that the real  nature of the economic and political problems is in midsts of the dynamic of the school. The timing of the school proves that the real nature of the school is due to economi c and political problems.However, due to relentlesss efforts of the administration , teachers, non-teaching staff, educators and eminent personalities  of the locality , the school has been refurbished since 2004. After overcoming all the obstacles , the school started attracting the attention of the people o the area. The Managing Committee was formed . Various programmes were adopted under the leadership of Late Shri Sanat Kumar Bhattacharya, a Life Time Member of  the School and then the Secretary of The Managing Committee.

       Hon'ble Shri Asit Kumar Maiti took over as the Headmaster in 2004. Renewal of the system of thinking and contemplation began hereafter :

1.at a time seven teachers in different subjects  have been appointed.

2.electricity connection has been facilitated students to study in unbearable heat.

3.tele-communication  has facilitated  instant communication.

4. by sinking submersible pump,the problem of drinking water has been solved.

5.the school has been promoted to higher secondary school.

6. Vidyasagar Bhavan has been constructed with the financial help of Late Shri Sanat Kumar Bhattacharya, a Life Time Member of the School.

7. Rabindra Bhavan has been constructed with the financial help of Education Department,Sarva Shiksha Mission and of  well-wishers and it is modified with the fund of H.D.A.

8.  Libray and ICTE (Projection Room) have been initiated.

9.  A cycle stand for students has been constructed with the financial help of Shri Subrata Jana, a Life Time Member of the school.

10.  A class room has been constructed with the fund from BEUP with the recommendation of Hon’ble Shri Ashok Kumar Dinda, MLA of Tamluk Constituency.

11.  The success rate of 100% at secondary and higher secondary leveL is the highest in the region.

12.  in 2014 this school turned into Govt.-Sponsored School.

In the present age of science and technology, our expectation from the Government is to go to the pinnacle of civilization with an unquenchable thirst for knowledge.

1.  to introduce Computer Department at higher secondary level.

2.  to build Auditorium, Cultural stage, school boundary and residential rooms for students..

3.. to build thematic classrooms and recruit teacher as early as possible.

We know most people today are suffering in the hope of heavenly bliss,but we are optimistic. This is the only expectation from the successors-- the persons who tried to establish this school through daily hardships ,patience and endurance should not be forgotten.
