History

As time advanced, the population and habitation of Haldia, the port based industrial city increased gradually. The workers of the factories, trades and employees in business field, Govt. and private offices as well as the entire community felt the need of an Educational Institution for their children’s educational development and upliftment. That need and requirement gave birth to this Institution.

Our School is one of the leading Bengali medium Institution in Purba Medinipur district. The Haldia Development Authority established this institution with the help of H.D.C., I.O.C.L., H.F.C., Kolkata Port Trust and many other well-wishing industrial establishments as well as benevolent community. Besides, the selfless service and monetary aid of Haldia Municipality and H.D.A. have helped to develop the infrastructure of our Institution. The Sarva Siksha Mission, Purba Medinipur has helped this school to prosper and enrich through many ways.

The WBBSE upgraded and affiliated the School as a secondary school on 1^st January, 1988. In 1990, WBCHSE also affiliated and upgraded it into a Higher Secondary school. Later on, the Institution has been continuing its long journey step by step with success and repute.

Presently, the Institution provides a large number of students (approx. 2250) with the chance to study about 18 subjects in three streams (Science, Arts and Commerce). All the students may avail the chance to study the modern subject – Computer. It will not be an exaggeration to say that the Institution is now able to fulfill the need and requirement of knowledge and education of the entire community of Haldia Industrial city with fame and excellence.
