History

Officially the Foundation Stone Of Chakdwipa High School was laid in 1949,but its beginning dated back to 1872 when the education-enthusiasts of the locality set up a very small Pathsala with a few students.

This was really a epoch-making event and since then this school—one of the premier educational institutions of the state, never looked back. From its infancy the school took a giant step in 1948 when it achieved the status High School. Thereafter the school, to its own credit, acquired the prestigious distinction to introduce class VII in 1949,class VIII in 1950 and class IX in 1951.The year 1951 set a landmark  in the school’s history as the school’s first batch of students appeared at the final examination. Further up gradation of the school to the status of Higher Secondary standard took place in 1961.Needless to mention, tireless striving of devoted teachers and spontaneous efforts of the enthusiastic persons dedicated to the cause of education brought about this steady reformation and elevation.

      To our great pleasure and pride the school has been achieving steady success in transforming numerous kinds of creative and constructive thoughts, ideas and visions during its long uninterrupted journey. Not only an external, impressive outlook but true to the real spirit of education the school has been manifesting spontaneous flow of vigorous youth. The visionary zeal of all concerned got the coveted reward in 2000 when Kazi Razibul Islam topped the merit list in the secondary examination of the state. It deserves special mention that innumerable students of the school have highlighted and glorified their favourite school with their brilliant achievements in different fields of science and technology, industry and economy, art and literature.

      At present, we all like the fearless warriors, like the listless guards, are determined and devoted to the defence of the school’s heritage—its fame and sanctiny.We do want to epitomize the best manifestation of the science of education. It is a matter of great joy that the school administration, the school authority, the local municipality, above all, the well wishes of the locality are all with us. Inspired by the motto of “Charaybeti”— we shall march ahead.Chakdwipa High School has been surging forward on the right track for the attainment of the dazzling brightness of the sun.
