History

The thoughts of Late Chintamoni Bera was given the form of reality by his son Late Binodbehari Bera. Respected Binodbehari Bera first Established M.E. School (V-VI) at his newly built dwelling house at Dhobageria Mouza in 1949. In 1953 this school came to an end owing to the untimely death of Binod Babu. As a result ,the teaching-learning process had been stopped for two years. But Binod Babu’s endeavour stirred many hearts. After that by the surging enthusiasm and invigoration of some people, teaching-learning process of this school was started again. This school came to be known as Pakuria Junior High School(V-VI) on 6th. January 1955. Then more two classes(VII-VIII) were added to this school from 1St. April ,1959.

This School was affiliated upto Class IX in 1965. From 1st January ,1966 Pakuria Junior High School came to be known as Pakuria High School. For further up gradation much money was required. The sons of Late Chintamoni Bera donated the then Rs. 3000.00 and 22 Bighas of land to this school. In 1966 in the month of September,in memory of Late Chintamoni Bera,by earnest endeavour of all persons, this school became known as Pakuria Chintamoni Adarsha Vidyapith instead of Pakuria High School . The school got the status of 11th. Class Higher Secondary School in 1970. It became a Higher Secondary School 12th. Class with Arts & Science on 1st. July,1978. Commerce stream was introduced in this school in 1980.
