History

Brahmansasan Kamala Vidyapith (H.S) situated at Debra Block is a renowned school of Paschim Medinipu. This school has got the award of the Nirmal Vidyalaya award 2016 and the Shisumitra vidyalaya award 2018. This school was founded in 1963 with the efforts of the villagers and manly with the help of Mrs. Kamala Sasmal and Rabindranath Bera and The Pandit Family (Land Donner). This school upgraded to Madhyamik in 1969 and upgraded to Higher Secondary in 2012. This is co-educated school with near about 600 students and 20 teaching and 3 non-teaching staff. The atmosphere of the school is like Tagore’s Shantinikatan which was decelerated with the new-maker of the school Late Dr. Malay Ranjan Bag,the  ex-headmaster of this school. Besides education the students of this school have name and fame both in sports and cultural activities.
