LALAT GANGADHAR PATHSALA HIGH SCHOOL (H. S.)
The Day dawns; and begins a new era in the history of Dantan- II, Paschim Medinipur (Erstwhile Midnapore District), when Raisaheb Gangadhar Nanda, the great heart and sacred personality of Mugberia, Purba Medinipur, has established Lalat Gangadhar Pathsala in the year 1926. Inspired with the great Zeal so many members of Mugberia Nanda family (Royal Family) like hon'ble Late Hiranmay Nanda, Pandit Jyotirmay Nanda etc, alongwith many great local people of Lalat-Bandhrauta area have come forward with their valuable efforts and contribution to make The Very Pathsala as Lalat Gangadhar Pathsala High School (10th class) in the year 1967. Now the school has been established herself as Lalat Gangadhar Pathsala High School (H. S.) With the recognition of HS section in the year 2006 with the different modern subject combination along with vocational courses.
Today our Institution has achieved great success in its progress by developing its various aspect like study, sports, cultural activities and its overall infrastructure. The results of both the Madhyanik and Higher Secondery Examination are satisfactory and are inspiring the students and their guardians to do better.
A good number of students study here. The school has a big library equipped with different kind of books. The head of the Institution has succassfully established a sweet bond among the guardians, teachers and students for the smooth conduct of learning system at school. They teachers are efficient and dutiful. They teach the students with great care and affection. The beautiful atmosphere of the school campus, which helps to creat an ideal atmosphere among the budding children, does not fail to attract attention of every new comer to the school. The Educational Tour is organized and the Observation Days are celebrated every year in a beffiting manner with great joy and enthusiasm.
It is a matter of great pride... performances like winning First place in the District Nirmal Vidyalaya Award in the year 2013, and gaining the 1st and 2nd prizes of Youth Parliament Compettition in the year 2016 and 2019 respectively etc.

The school has many othe splendid things worthy of mentioning, which have adorned the whole campus. Those are - a newly built Gymnasium, well-equipped practical rooms for science, an Auditorium Hall intended for organising various functions, a school-attached hostel, solar energy plant for sufficient power supply, purified drinking system for students, well decorated cultural stage named 'Muktadhara', the concrete padestrian from the huge gorgeous gate to the main building and the two most attractive things filling us with great awe and admiration- the two marble statues of Late Gangadhar Nanda (founder) and Pandit Iswarchandra Vidyasagar installed in the flower garden adding to the beauty of the whole atmosphere remarkable.
Yet they are not fully satisfied with what they have at present. Charged with hopes and aspiration the honourable Headmastet , teachers and other staffs are making some plans and projects for the all round development af the school. They have taken initiatives to make the learning more effective by adopting new methods of modern technology such as - learning through computer and other digital mediums, considering the present scenario of education.
The Institution is waiting for a new day- a bright future.
