History

The school was set up in the year 1970 by villagers of Maheshpur and adjoining area. Before the establishment of this school, there was no high school in the locality. The school was recognised as a 4 class Junior High School by the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education w.e.f. 01/05/1996 . In the year 2005 it has been upgraded and recognised as X- Class High School w.e.f. 01/05/2005 by the W.B.B.S.E. Later for imparting higher education to the students of this locality of minority community, the school has been upgraded as Higher Secondary school with Arts and Science stream w.e.f. 27/06/2013 by the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education. The school has also been converted into Govt. Sponsored school w.e.f. 30/09/2013 by the Department of School Education, Govt. of West Bengal.The school has completed its glorious 50 years of service to the society in the year 2020 and going to celebrate ' Golden Jubile Year'.
