** MAJIDKHANA HIGH SCHOOL (H.S) **

School History

   Majidkhana High School (H.S) was established in 1920. The foundation day of the school is 01.01.1920. It is the oldest school in Alipurduar Block – II.

   The School was recognized as M.E. School w.e.f. 01.01.1922. The school was recognized as 2-class Jr. High School w.e.f. 01.01.1951. It was recognized as 3-class Jr. High School w.e.f. 01.01.1959. The school was recognized as 4-class Jr. High School with class V to VIII w.e.f. 01.01.1962. It was recognized as X-class High School w.e.f. 01.01.1966. The authority was permitted to continue Co-education upto class X w.e.f. 01.01.1966.

   The school was selected as a main venue of newly formed Alipurduar -- III Centre to conduct Madhyamik Pariksha (S.E) w.e.f. 1999.

   The school was accorded provisional recognition for introduction of Higher Secondary General Stream Courses w.e.f. 1999 – 2000 academic session. The School authority was permitted to teach Geography in H.S Stream (Arts) w.e.f. 2009 – 2010 academic session.

   The school was selected a venue of Alipurduar – II H.S. Centre w.e.f. 2010.

   Nirmal Vidyalaya Puraskar’ 2013 was awarded to Majidkhana High School, Alipurduar North Circle in recognition of its commendable efforts in advancing Water Sanitation & Hygiene Intervention.

   The school authority was permitted to impart lesion on Science Subjects in H.S. Unit w.e.f. 2017 – 2018 academic session.

   Lastly the school was selected as a Study Centre for teaching D.El.Ed. Programme of NIOS for the session 2017 - 2019.
