On the request of some wellwishers of Chaparerpar -1 Gram Panchayet of Alipurduar Block 2, to enlighten their children in the light of elementary education and to develop an educated society on the riverbed of Nonai, Sovaganj,736121; Lt. Debendra Chandra Paul gave his land (Approx.32 decs.) to set up the institution in 1972 with some teachers of adjacent area which got the WBBPE accreditation in 1974.
