Pramodnagar High school is situated at the village Pramodnagar of Falakata Block, of Alipurduar District. A few Patron of learning assembled once to establish a School for the educational enlightment of backward classes of the people of this locality headed by Nripendra Nath Barman, former Sabhapati, Falakata Pachayat Samity. The Patrons, to be rememberd always with gratitude, are respected Gopal Chandra Sen, Narendra Chandra Sen, Ganesh Bhadra, Ranjit Datta, Tarini Mohan Das. Regarding the land of the School , the name of Guneswar Roy will be distinguished. Honourable teacher, Harendra Nath Datta sacrificed enough for the School. Land donor, Sri Gopal Chandra Sen and Narendra Chandra Sen will be remembered with gratitude for ever. After prolonged cohesion, the School was started in the year 1982 but It was recognized in the year 1984. The first President was Respected Nripendra Nath Barman and Madan Mohan Datta was the Secretary. A set of teachers first appointed are Siddheswar Das, Abul Hossain, Samaresh Chandra Paul, thereafter Abdul Majid Miya, Santosh Roy, Samir kumar Basak, Khagendra Nath Datta, Pulin Roy. The appointed Staff are Jiten Chandra Sen and Sankar Chandra Sen. Since inception the School has been catering education uninterruptedly to the students of the surrounding tea gardens and remote villages. The most of the students belong to the SC/ST/OBC community and Minority groups. Despite multifarious hindrances the School has yielded meritorious students in Madhyamik Examination over the years. Also the School has been yielding innumerable responsible citizens. The school was established with a mission to generate broadminded rational human resources to meet the challenges of the society and also with a view to render true education in the society.
