                                                                                              SCHOOL HISORY

                                                  Majherdabri High School(H.S), P.O-Baruipara was established in the year of 1972.

A few distinguished persons interested in education of the remotest rural area of Majherdabri, P.O-Baruipara, P.S-Kumargram in the District of Alipurduar were thinking highly of the necessity for the establishment of an educational Institution. The proposed place of the institution is located near the embankment of the terrible river the Sankosh and adjacent to the State of  Assam.

It is situated 49 km away for the District town of Alipurduar and 3 km away from the state of Assam. It was a peaceful place and far away from the pollution, noise dust and smoke area. The School has originally 7(Seven) Bigha of Cultivable (Farm) land and in its 5 Bighas were donated by Divine Mahendra Lal Saha in 1970 as a site for School to serve small elementary children at Majherdabri. The School has undergone many changes since its origin. We pride ourselves on being a centre of community. This is the second scenario that hungry river grapes the proposed  land of School and that is why the place of the School has been shifted from  Majherdabri to Baruipara and second one divine Roymohan Sarkar has donated 2 (Two) Bigha of land where the School permanently located in the year of 1979. The deadly River Sankosh interrupts in organizing the School at Majherdabri making a beach in the embankment and the major portion of the proposed place was submerged by the river that haunts massively to the so-called social Reformers and they were forced by to shift the temple from Majherdabri to Baruipara at this time Hon’able social reforms left heartily the necessity of organizing such an institution to give the light of education  among the First Generation learners of unfortunate families.

The School opned its door with.....student enrolled in the upper primary section viz. IV class Junior High School in 1972 with the first Headmaster Late Shyamal kanti Saha (Organizing entity) during the period of 1972 - 1978 and the second Headmaster Sri Harimohan Talukdar for the period of 1978 - 2010. Afterwards, late Rajkumar Sarkar ascended the seat of Head of Instituion as a teacher in-charge fro the period of 2010 to 31-07-2014. After that, I Sri Uttam permanently joined the post of Headmaster on 0101-08-2014 have been serving the school in all respects.

The mission of the School is to provide the Learners an activity learning and consequently, the enrollment of the students is being gradually inceased. this rapid success of the SECOND HOME of the students inspired the  parents.

Throughtout our history, the school Community has remained committed for creating an environment in which students are known, supported, challeged and above all encouraged to grow

This is now a Higher Secondary Institution one ( from Class V to XII) haveing seven teachers only including myself (H.M), a clerk, two peons and there is no Lab. Attendant, no Librarian, and also no Clerk for H.S Section.

The founder-members namely-

                                          5. Late Manmohan Saha

                               and     6. Sushanta Modak played the that cannot be from time immemorial. We are proud of them all.
