History of our school

Madarihat High School (HS) is an one of the eminent institutions of doors which is formed in the midst of greenish nature, rivers and the lap of profound Himalayas. There are many different communities which have been depending on this institution from the beginning. Mech, Rava, Oraons as well as the endangered Toto community students are the assets of Madarihat High school which denotes Unity in diversity practically in this institution. Madarihat High School(HS) was originally founded in the year 1955.It was then a Junior High School. People like honourable Deboprosad Bagchi, Salaha Oraon, Gyanjit Chakraborty, Makhanlal Basu, Tilak Sharma and few others helped primarily to found the school. Dr Chinmoy Lahiri joined with them later to construct the school. The school got the government affiliation in 1960 as a Junior High School. At that time, the teachers didn't get government salary. The collections from people and students used to be distributed among the teachers. Later, however, the school became recognized as a High School within six years i.e.in 1966. In 1996,it became a Higher Secondary School. After a long journey, Madarihat High school has been crossing it's 60 years with verious memories and experiences. Many students belonging to this institution have become successful and their success is the great achievement to Madarihat High school which has been increasing year after year and this success cycle is endless procedure.
