By the year 1969, new initiatives were adopted by a group of enthusiasts to Promote education for women in a locality lagged behind in all spheres. They made the most of all the resources available or that came in handy. The School set off its journey as an eight class Junior High School within the Premises of Manikpara High School (H.S.) with the concent of the then Managing Committee of the said school, since his school lacked its own building. Subsequently, the school’s own was set up following noble deeds of noble men donation of land by the survivors of Lirambar Chatterjee and ceaseless efforts on the part of eminent Persons as well as educationists like Late Manmathanath Mukhopadhyay, Late Harshanath Bandyopadhyay, Late Nimai Dutta, Late Dr. Sarat Chandra Pal, Late Amiya Kumar Pal and above all, the benevolence of local People for the year 1970 the school emerged as an independent Govt. aided Institution for girls.
