OUR SCHOOL HISTORY

  It was 1930.Jagadish Chandra Deo Dhabaldeb ,the King of Chilkigarh(Jamboni) established a school near his palace in the name his father Iswar Chandra Deo Dhabaldeb to spread the education among the inhabitant of Jamboni Paragana. King ,Jagadish Chandra  was a school in Bengali,Sanskrit and English literature. The school was affiliated by earstwhite Calcutta University in 1936 and in the same year it become Co-Education Institution.At first the school was started with some dilapi dated rooms with straw shed. In 1937 first batch passed out the matriculation Exam. In that time Prasanna Kumar Satpathy,Bankim Chandra Satpathy,Baikuntha Sarangi had come forward to help .The King, Jagadish Chandra built a hostel for the education of brilliant but poor students free of cost.Prasanna Kumar Satpathy was the 1st secretary of the school. The King,had built a pucca building for the school when the previous was burnt to ashes. In that time except Jhargram Kumud Kumari Institution there was no high school other than this school in Jhargram sub-Division.

In the decade of thirty three there were only 10 rooms of the school. Now twenty seven.in 1976 the school was transformed into Madhyamik school.In 2002 it was upgraded to Higher Secondary with Science 7 Arts streams.Now 650 students are taking their Education from this Institution the boys and girls of hearby fifteen villages come to school and most of them belong to schedule tribe and backward class.There are twenty one vacancy is there for Physical Education .Two para Teacher are services this schoolsince 2007.Total sanction Non-teaching post are of six.But how only one clerk is working.Four Gr-D post are vacant including two Lab.Abledants Physics,Chemestry,Biology and Geography Labs,are uptodate and modern.Audio Visual classs are held with computers and projectors.Round the year different including drama are held for comprehensive improvement of the students.Our objective is to make a students into a conscious citizen.
