History

After the death of Mahatma Gandhi a few person of Dahijuri, interested in education established Dahijuri Mahatma Vidyapith on 7th March 1948 in a campus of very old British Indigo Plant. later on local people came forward and donated required land for the Institution. In the year 1978 the Institute upgraded from VIII class junior high school to X class high school and later on in the year 2000 the Institute upgraded to XII class higher secondary school. Vocational stream started from 2006.
