History

Ramgarh Mokshada Sundari High School is one of the oldest in Jhargram District, Established on 26yh January 1926 and recognised as a High School by Calcutta University in 1927, Vide Memo No. S/3405/pro-471, Dt. 12.12.1927, w.e.f. 01.01.1928. Raja Nagendra Nath Singha Sahas Roy set up this School in this locality predominantly ST, S.C. people to spread education among the people. Old Higher Secondary Course had started (i) with Humanatics w.e.f. 01.01.1959, Vide Memo No. 7915/G, Dt. 02.01.1959 of West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (ii) with Agriculture w.e.f. 01.01.1960, Vide Memo No. -  7758/GA, Dt. 20.05.1960 of West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (iii) with Science w.e.f. 01.01.1962, Vide Memo No.- 261/G, Dt. 06.01.1960 of West Bengal Board of Secondary Education. It has come under Salary deficit scheme w.e.f. 01.05.1972, Vide G. O. No.- 343-Edn (S), Dt. 03.03.1973. Higher Secondary Course (10+2) with Arts and Science have started from 2004-2005, session, Vide Meomo No.- DS(A)SD/62/Recog/04, Dt. 06.07.2007 of West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education. A new wing of Vocational Education in Agriculture at 10+2 level has been running successfully since 2005. There are 1150 stidents in our school for 2020, most of them come from ST/SC and OBC.
