History

Pukhuria Jr High School is situated in the remote part of JUNGLE MAHAL at Pukhuria village, PO- Baranegui, PS- Nayagram, under Jhargram district. The school has been established in the year 2008 with the aim of bringing the light of education amongst the local backward and poverty driven students.

The school started initially without basic infrastructures like building, drinking water, electricity etc. but with more dedication and fighting spirit gradually took the shape of torch bearing institution in the remote JUNGLE MAHAL area bringing education and cultural fragrances.

The first class was started under the Banyan tree on the ground. Starting from there, now the school is all set to make it's own computer labs,develop more rooms and infrastructures to provide more space to its students to learn while playing and participating in cultural programmes.

The calm and quiet atmosphere with surrounding greeneries are definitely helpful for mental development of students. The serenity of the atmosphere helps them to become a responsible and sensible citizen of the society with extending supports to the fellow villagers.

With the selfless attitude and dedication of the teaching staffs and educationists the school is confident to produce and find "The Hidden Stars" to serve the society.
