History

The prehistory of setting up Ashui Pallimangal vidyapith (H.S) in such a remote village like Ashui, situated on the bank of the river Subernarekha carries a message of struggles and initiatives of the local people.  Located in the lap of super natural atmosphere of Jungle mohol, it has been enlightening many students in the light of education since 1972. There was a time when there were no educational institutions in this area. In order to bring the light of education in the area many great personality extended their helpings hands unselfishly. In the introductory phase, education was arranged in a mud house in the assistance of some unemployed educated youth in the area. Late Mrityunjay Mishra   played an important role in the establishment of this institution by donating 0.52 acre of land on which the school was constructed . Finally making everyone's dreams come true, the school was recognised on 07/08/1981 w.e.f 01/01/1980. Thus maintaining gradually development in the field of education,sports, culture and overall infrastructure at present the institution has caught everyone's attention not only our district, other districts too.
