History

The Thinkers of Keleti, Kanta Tikuri, etc felt that their locality needed a school. Mr. Abdur Rahaman, Dr. Nanda Dulal Roy, Mr. Haripada Chakraborty, Mr. Tinkari Mondal and Mr. Shankar Mondal were the eminent thinkers of them. They worked hard to establish the school. They were the Five Pillars of our school. The Five Pillars firstly donated land to establish the school. After that they went door to door to make the people of the locality understand why their locality needed a school. The people of the Locality understood and responded. So they contributed land to build rooms for the school. The contributors of land were Mr. Danabeshwar Mondal, Mr. Anukul Ch. Mondal, Mr. Bankim Ch. Mondal, Mr. Kalipada Mondal,  Mr. Bijoy Ch. Mondal,  Mr. Nitai Mondal,  Mr. Khudiram Mondal,  Mr. Ekkari Mondal,  Mr. Shivdas Mondal,  Mr. Sudhir Kumar Mondal,  Mr. Baidyanath Mondal, Mr. Radul Mondal,  Mr. Ismail Mondal, Mr. Ramjan Mondal,  Mr. Rakhal Mondal,  Mr. Baharuddin Sekh,  Mr. Ismael Sekh, Mrs. Majema Bibi, Mr. Tryambakeshwar Mukherjee,  Mr. Bhola Nath Pal and Mr. Siddheshwar Pal. And finally they established the school in 1963. The school took name as Keleti Ganapally Adarsha Vidyapith. Nowadays it is known as Keleti G.A. Vidyapith (H.S.)

Mr. Tinkari Mondal made a bricks clamp to build his own house. But when he realized that the school needed more bricks to build its rooms, he sacrificed and donated his whole bricks clamp to the school. For this he could not build his own house. What a sacrifice for the school he did!

Mrs. Amina Rahaman, wife of Mr. Abdur Rahaman, one Pillar of the Five Pillars of our school,  Ms. Naz Afrin and  Mr. Najesh Afroj and Mr. Najesh Nouroj, daughter and sons of Mr. Abdur Rahaman mentioned above donated a 23 bighas' pond named Pir Pukur which gives our school more than one lakh rupees per annum as its income to develop the infrastructure of our school. 

Our school shall remember all of them. 

The chronological development and improvement of school are furnished below. 

. Our school is upgraded as junior high school in 1964. It is upgraded to a high school in 1972. Our school is established itself as a Higher Secondary school in 2000.
