History

Our School established in the year 1975 in Ukhra village, P.O.-Ukhra, Dist.- Paschim Bardhaman. At that time some eminent educationists of the locality give the idea of establishing a Co-Educational High School for those students who are far from education. The School was started with a single room with some devoted teachers. The land was given by Handey family of Ukhra village. Students from neighboring villages of far and near started to take admission. At first it was a Junior High School, recognized by W.B.B.S.E. in the year 1984 and upgraded to High School in 1999. Now our school is a big one with 22 rooms, Two two-storied building along with Natya Mancha, Meeting hall and a Play ground within the School compound. The first H.M. of the School was Sri N. K. Mukherjee, retired on 2007. The present H.M. is Sri Saptarshi Kumar Mondal, M.Sc. Chemistry (B.Ed), joined on 2009.
