UKHRA NO 1 FP SCHOOL HISTORY. Years before the independence of our country a place in Ukhra, namely MAHANTASTHAL had a great visionary of establishment. The organization of our Institution was supervised by Mahantasthal's priest Late Nakul Mahanta. He took the step towards educational development by the help of 8-10 students. The number seemed to be extremely less yet that was enough to bring a change in the knowledge of the locality. At the time of its establishment, it was called a "PATHSHALA", a small local school. The school received its affiliation on 1st April, 1946 and was renamed as " UKHRA BRAJABHUSAN NO 1 FREE PRIMARY SCHOOL ". The first person to hold the place of the respective head teacher was Mr.Sharat Chandra Barman. Respectful, Late Mr. Rathindranath Saigal was the chief person who helps to develop and enlighten the fame of the school. We have been trying our best to develop the educational and cultural zeal of this locality with the help of MANAGING COMMITTEE and gurdians.
