Kaliganj primary school first started in the early decade of fiftees.The school started at a Attchala of a local shib mondir.

A very kind and responsible villager, Darikanath Kundu donoted his land for school leter. Frist teacher of Kaliganj school was Laxmi Narayan Mukherjee of Arrha. Kaliganj school sanctioned by government in the year 1954.
