History

Gorai Saraswati Mondir Sikshaniketan High School is situated at Rajkusum under Kanksa  Block of Paschim Bardhaman District. It is sorrounded by forest and there was no communication in 1975 and students have to walk atleast 4 kilometers to  go nearby High School. So girls have forced to drop out .In this situaton  people  felt the necessacity of  establishing a High School.So  a Junior High  School was started in 1975 with Class V and Class VI.With the financial help and donation of land villagers constructed FOUR class rooms but in1978  rooms were damaged badly.Then it was shifted to its existing  position. Gradually it got its Recognition from WBBSE in 1986.Finally it was upgraded to a HIGH SCHOOL in 2009 and the  study of Class IX started from 1st March 2010.First batch appeared in M.P Examination in 2012.With the finacial help of villagers At the initial stage paucity of  staff and then retirement of staff caused a great affect to the study  of students..Now  the school has twelve teachers, three non-teaching staff,one computer teacher,one integrated Lab.,MDM programme  ,playground, adequate class rooms etc.Still we need Library room,Auditorium Hall, Cycle Stand,etc. We hope we must overcome those dificulties.
