Kanksa High School- a brief history

Kanksa High School in the district of present Paschim Bardhaman WB, saw the light of its establishment in the year 1936, Initially it was a middle English School.. it obtained the recognition as a 10+ High School from Calcutta University in 1948. In 1960 the school was recognised by the WBBSE as a HS School(XI) with an approval of Humanities(Arts) Section only. Science and Commerce Stream were introduced subsequently. In the Year 1976 the new 10+2 Syustem of school education having been introduced in West Bengal..the school obtained thr recognition as a Higher Secondary School(XI..XII..Science Arts Commerce Co educational) from the newly established WBCHSE. With the heritage of the past and also that the tiredless endeavour of the present the schhol is leading towards an illuminated future.
