Shilampur High School ,a bengli -medium co education school, was initiated for educating children of almost villager in the year 1949 with only class V and get recognition of class V and VI in 1952. The School got recognition as a juniour high school and High school in 1960 and 1966 respectively.It was recognised as a Higher Sceondary school in 2007. Presently there are almost 1200 students. The school follows the rule "EDUCATION FOR ALL".
