History

Established in 2009 by the ​​​local aficionado in Education and with the cooperation of the Bansra Free Primary School, this school tends to cater to the educational needs of the children in and around Bansra Colliery. After being established the school initially started within the premises of the Bansra Free Primary School and the mid-Day Meal programme was started in 2012. In 2012 the school relocated to its own (present) campus. It has become a beacon for the first generation learners of the area to complete their basic education upto Class VIII before entering the Madhyamik. Recognized since 2010 as a 4-class New Set Up Co-educational Junior High School by WBBSE. Despite several hindrances in the development of the school it has churned out decent performers who go on to study in the various Madhyamik schools in Raniganj and pass the Board exams with good results.
