History

Narayankuri F.P. School was running under the open sky by the sincere villagers since British period. In the year 1946, certain villager Shree Bagal Chandra Mondal donated a piece of land where the school could be found permanently. The school got Government recognition on the same year. At first the school started running with only two rooms. Later, in the '80s ECL sanction a grant to make another two storey building. A hall and a kitchen cum store was built in the year 2005 and 2012 respectively. Former head teachers Shree Maheswar Bhattacharjee, Shree Tapan Kumar Sarkar and current T.I.C. Shree Ram Murti Konar's tireless efforts made the school run successfully.
