Before 1946, Today's Chapui F.P. School was running at the Durgamandir of Chapui village. There was one room and a lawn.The roof was made of tile. Late Krishna Chandra Chattapadhaya started the school before 1946. He was the headmaster & the 2nd teacher was late Satish Chandra Mishra. In 1946 the school got the Govt. recognition. After that late Krishna Chandra Chattapadhaya remained the headmaster of the school. Belonging to that time, a building was constructed at Chapui , sawra for a post Office.Then the whole villagers gave permission to shift the school from durgamandir to that proposed building for post office.That time it was the first Govt. primary school in the village. The school is running in that building till now. Thus the journey of Chapui F. P. School was started.
