Panchampalli Vidyalaya was established in 1952 as a Junior High School in Chittaranjan suburb at quarter number 23 of the street number 33. At first class V was introduced by the sturdy effort of the local inhabitant especially Mr. Radharanjan Ghosh, Ex Headmaster of Panchampalli Primary School. Then there were six teachers in the school including Headmaster.
It has faced many problem but it never has stopped it's journey. It has moved forward and finally it has upgraded to class X co-ed School in 1966. This achievement was never been possible without the hearty effort of Mr. Bimal kumar Chattopadhyay, Ex Secretary of the School. At that time Smt. Shakti Ghosh was the Headmistress of the School and there were 10 teachers including headmistress.
Earlier most of the students of the School were the wards of CLW staff but it has fallen rapidly with time. Nowadays maximum number of students comes from the surrounding vilages like Dhanguri,Kalyangram,Domdoha,Jorbari,Alladih,Jemari etc.
All round performance of the School is increasing gradually. Though the maximum students are from Scheduled Caste,Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Class families however the result off annual examination of the school is satisfactory.
