History

Manimala Girls' High School (H.S) , is one of the legendary schools is Asansol which was established way before Independence in 1939 with a vew to empower women in society. It is situated at Upper Chelidanga near Court More which is one of the prime locatioin in the sub-division.The journey began under the ledership of Ms. Shanti Ghosh and ever since the school has spread its roots far and wide . The students over the years have glorified the society , the country and humanity at large. They have made their alma-mater proud by virtue of their talent, skill and perseverance. The school has  proudced some the renowned Doctors , Engineerers, Professors, Educationists , Teachers, Architects and Technocrats of today.

                           The school has belived in the all- round development of a child . It has endeavoured to nurture the hidden skills in each and every child though a whole lot of co-curricular activities like singing , dance , drama, elocution,quizzing and handicraft etc . Chiedren find various means to express themselves which in-turn boosts up their morale and confidence. The academic aspect collaborates wtih the non-academic activites to create a wholesome atmosphere for developments of a girl child.
