History

     Asansol Dayanand Vidyalya (H.S) , a Pride of Hindi Speaking People of Asansol Shilpanchal, was Initially established in a dilapidated and abandon Bhawan of the DAV High School In 1968 .

    The well known philanthropists of Asansol shilpanchal viz-Late Chandra Sekharji Prasad ,Late Bishwanathji Shaw,Late Desh Rajji Dhal , Late Rameshwar lalji Kedia , Sri Jagdish Prasad Kedia, Sri Nandkishore  Agarwalla and Sri B.N.Singh , then Head Master of the school , greatly contributed in the establishment and development of the school.

    The School was Recognized by the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education In 1971.The School was Upgraded to Higher Secondary School In 1998.The purpose of the school is not only to impart better education to the Hindi speaking students but also to promote vedic culture.

    The total area of our school campus is 5 bighas. The school runs from Class V to XII in two large buildings of Maharshi Dayanand Bhawan Block –A and Bloock-B. At present, we have 25 well furnished  and well lit airy Class rooms , a large Auditorium and a Mini Hall. Our school is equipped with 5 KWP grid connected solar PV Power Plant System supplied by WEST Bengal Green Energy Development Corporation Limited. The School has a well decorated gardens being look after by the students and the school staff. We have Eco-friendly and Child Friendly School Campus.
